Diesel (Дизел) Only. The fuel cap is on the passenger side. To open it, pull the small lever located on the floor next to the driver’s seat.

24/7 Headlights

Bulgarian law requires headlights on at all times, day and night. We have preset these for you—please leave them on. You will be fined by the police if they catch you.

Stop Signes

At “STOP” signs, you must come to a complete halt. Do not “roll” through. Count to three before pulling away; local police are very strict on this specific rule.

Documents

Please keep your passport & driving licencewith you when using the vehicle. All the other documents legaly required are in the glove box.

Alcohol

Bulgaria has a zero-tolerance policy for drink-driving (limit 0.05%). Please do not risk it.

Hazards & Flashing Lights

If oncoming drivers flash their lights at you, there is likely a police speed trap ahead. If a car puts on their hazard lights, they are warning you of a sudden stop or a hazard (like a donkey cart!)
